Cauldron - Chained To The Night
Chained To The Night, the latest release from the metal act Cauldron. From the very first note, this disc has a very Classic Metal feel to it. Moreover, while I do not feel it is necessarily groundbreaking by any means, I think it is a decent collection of songs that will appeal to most fans of the heavy metal. Many of the tunes are predictable and extremely familiar but the singer’s voice is good, the background vocals are excellent and the guitars are enjoyable. Cauldron has combined all of these elements successfully and created what I feel is an average Metal album.
I say average because while the songs are decent, by the time I got to the fourth tune “The Leaven_Fermenting Enchantre” I found myself a bit bored and it seemed to me that the songs began to blend into each other.
Do not get me wrong this disc is not terrible by any means. There absolutely is some good playing on the disc; it just was not enough to keep my interest for the full 44.00 minutes. For me there are too many other CDs to listen to and this one will more than likely not receive much more play in player.
