Artist: Buried In Verona
Album: Saturday Night Sever
Date: 7/19/2010

The rawness, the aggression and the dark ambience create a record that is brutal and potent and sure to strike a nerve among listeners. ...

Artist: MyChildren Mybride
Album: TerrLost Boy
Date: 7/19/2010
Written By: Bruce_Moore
Lost Boy is not a one trick pony though, it is packed full of strong, absolutely killer hardcore tunes. Some of the others songs that really captured my attention and are worth mentioning are “Redeemer” and “Crimson Grim.” ...

Artist: True Liberty
Album: City Of One
Date: 6/24/2010

I would be remiss if I did not mention the slowed down, acoustic tune, “The Letter.” Not only are the lyrics powerful but I think it brings the CD to a close quite nicely. After twenty or so minutes of banging I found it to be a welcome cool down of sorts. ...

Artist: Cancer Bats
Album: III: Bears, Mayors, Scraps And Bones
Date: 6/24/2010
Written By: Bruce_Moore
The Cancer Bats come out of the box swinging on the opening track, “Sleep This Way” and the battering does not let up until the very last track, a Beastie Boys cover of “Sabotage.”...

Artist: More Than A Thousand
Album: Volume 4: Make Friends and Enemies
Date: 6/16/2010
Written By: Don_Thrash
Hailing from Portugal, More Than a Thousand have been together since 2001, cranking our melodic metalcore with more passion, more truth than I have heard in awhile. Yes this is standard typical metalcore, nothing groundbreaking. However, I would like to point out that More Than a Thousand's "Volume IV: Make Friends and Enemies" is just one hell of a fun head bang....

Artist: Eluveitie
Album: Everything Remains (As It Never Was)
Date: 4/15/2010
Written By: Walking_Corpse
Overall this a pretty good take on the folk metal theme. It's not as technically well done as a band like Suidakra might do it, but it's not bad either. At times I really did want to build a viking boat and conquer England. There is a lot of cross over here with some other genres, but none so much as the Gothenburg style. Formulaic and a little cheesy, but those things are sort of par for the course with this genre so if your a fan of this music, do not let that stop you. Working within those confines, this is a well done album and a good effort from Eluveitie. ...

Artist: Mnemic
Album: Sons of the System
Date: 2/20/2010
Written By: Walking_Corpse
Overall this is a very strong Mnemic album, and if you are a fan you will most likely dig this record. If you are not, continue to stay away, there is nothing really new in terms of direction from the band on Sons of the System....
