So I photographed Silverstein, The Devil Wears Prada, A Day To Remember and Protest The Hero, I will post an assessment of the show later on. I just wanted to talk about The Devil Wears Prada right now. They are, for the most part a metalcore band, with some elements of Norma Jean and some screamo crap. Music aside (I am not a fan), they are also a Christian group. Last song, "blah blah, love god, blah blah" bullshit. What upset me is they also talked about an anti-scientology song. Now don't get me wrong, scientologists are morons to in my eyes, but should you really be slamming other religions if your a "religious" band? So after the show, I went to Uno's to have a bite to eat and A Day To Remember and The Devil Wears Prada came and sat to the table next to us. I almost had to hold myself down before laughing out loud and some of the retarded comments TDWP was making. Member A "I Like Slayer", member B fired back "What? You like Slayer? How can you?" Member A "Well dude, I hate the message they portray, but I like the music..." Member B "sulks like a little girl" and then the conversion ends. This band swears, bashes religions then preaches theirs. FUCK THEM Anyone else have thoughts?

If they're bashing other religions out loud and bluntly, to me they're just being honest. To my knowledge, pretty much every organized religion has as one of its most basic priniciples that their way is right and everyone else's is wrong and those who follow the other religions are misguided fools doomed to spend eternity in hell. Do I agree with their message? No. Do I like it? No. But I'd rather know where someone stands rather than to have to guess. As for the Slayer conversation, I wonder how long these guys have been in a band together. You'd think one of the first things you'd learn about someone you're in a band with is who their influences are and what bands they like.  Pretty funny end to the conversation. It's when murder is justice that martyrs are made.
