...is Slayer's Reign in Blood album. Just thought I'd mention it.

Metal sure has come a long way in 20 years. Back then, Reign in Blood never would have been acknowledged by something like Wikipedia. Metal got absolutely no respect back then and many critics and musicians went so far as to question metal's legitimacy as an artform. "It's just noise" is a phrase my friends and I heard often, both from our parents and other adults as well as kids our own age. Now, OzzFest is one of, if not the, biggest touring festivals each year and bands like Mastodon and Lamb of God routinely release records that garner praise not just from fans, but from the music press and a band like Cradle of Filth can be nominated for a Grammy. Yep, metal has come a looooong way.
It's when murder is justice that martyrs are made.

The stars are going out and the stripes are getting bent.
