Personally, not a big fan of emo. I think the lyrics are lame, the vocals are lame and the music is ok, since it is just metal with a girl like singer.

File me under the "people who wish they would die" category. I've seen their videos and the way the vocalist throws himself onto the ground and lurches his body while he sings really disturbs me. I guess its really not that terrible compared to the alternative (Pop, rap, etc), but it really doesn't do it for me.

Can you like the music without liking the lyrics/band/fans? Because I think they have some mainsteam, electronically generated talent, but whenever I listen to them all I can think of is "Stop trying so hard, or try a lot fucking harder and be done with it."

MCR is punk? Think

Well MCR is Emo, which gets lumped under the punk category unfortunately.

I really have nothing against emo, but this just doesn't make any fucking sense. The last thing I think of when I hear MCR is The Clash or the Sex Pistols or the Ramones. Geezus, even Green Day is a thousand times more punk than MCR and whatever else emo has to offer up. I think the guys from any of the bands I just mentioned would beat the crap out of the guys in MCR on just principle alone for being lumped in with them.

MCR is amazing but their last album was not even close to Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge

I thought Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was ok but The Black Parade was just awful. I think all the mainstream attention went to their heads and they tried to take advantage of it instead of just writing good music that they like.

I think Coheed & Cambria did the same thing. I don't know how you feel about them but after their third album, they just got cocky and thought they could take over the world and now they just suck. The best part of their latest album is the guitar work, but that's it.
