So, today was my first bad day at Bugaboo Steak House. But Jesus Christ, I've only had two worse days of work in my entire life. Think about it, pretty fucking bad.

So my shift starts out pretty normal, working at 10:30am when I went to bed at 5am. Working, working... annnnd then the other girl I was working with wanted to go home because her back hurt. So I picked up her double shift, took a break, and came back to work. And, when I come back, almost everyone has been cut, so theres only two servers working, which is fine, because in between 2pm and 5pm is our slowest time.

Now, I was tired, and I made a few mistakes, I admit it. Fuck, I'm new, what do you expect. I accidentally skipped one of my servers a table, and he came and let me know, and I fixed it, problem solved. But then, around 3:30pm, a couple of my night serves came in and asked me to seat them tables, even though the night rotation as far as I knew didn't start till 4pm. This is the first time I've worked this particular shift before, so I'm not exactly up to date with all the procedures. So I don't seat them. Well, they get pissed, blah blah blah, so I start seating them. But in the whole mix up, one girl got double tables, and one guy (the same one I accidentally skipped) got zero. And on top of that, a couple came in and asked to be seated at one of the girls tables, so she was three tables ahead than anyone else.

Well, now they are REALLY pissed, to the point of throwing my rotation sheets, having complete temper tantrums, and being so immature that the managers are coming over and apologizing to ME. Honestly, It wasn't like anyone was going to be leaving any sooner than 7:00pm, there was plenty of time to even it out.

Now, 5:00pm rolls around, and the next hostess coming in is so infamous I had been warned for a week about working with her. I was so pissed off to begin with at everyone else, I was almost ready to make best friends, until she turned out to be a total idiot. She's a transfer from another store, and granted they may have done things different, but not THAT different. I haven't even been there two weeks and I can seat people better than her. She's messing up terribly, and since I'm already in hot water, the servers think I'm the one to blame. Oh, and she's a total, ugly bitch.

Also, when I saw "servers" I mean the handful that are being bitches. The majority were telling me not to take shit from them and that I was doing better than half the hostesses they have.

The icing on the cake today was as I'm about to leave, she "asks" me to take care of the ash cans outside and the trash. Those are closing duties. It takes five minutes to do int the two hours where you stand around and do nothing. Besides, the trash is barely full at the end of the night, it had almost nothing in it then. So I flat out tell her no way in hell. And she asked me why, and I told her straight up that it was her job, and that I wasn't even supposed to be there then. Whats the little bitch do? She goes to the manager, granted the new manager that also just transfered, and tries to get him to tell me to do it, and I flat out tell him no too. And he agreed with me. Bitch.flip off 2

So yeah, thats my rant. Be happy it wasn't longer.

Oh, and yeah, the rotation was NOT supposed to start until 4:00pm. So in the end, I was right.

Ya I agree with you, work does suck. Especially if you work in a restaurant (at least from my experience). Hopefully things are going better for you though now that you are starting to get settled in.

OK, at least you don't get bitched at for everytime the surgeon fucks up. Everything he does is either the tech's or the circulator's fault.

I had stake there once a long time ago. It tasted smokey, like it was cooked over a fire. I liked it. Get there appetizer sampler, you get tons of good food for like 9 bucks its great.

As a whole though the restaurant is juvenile and they have one of the poorest beer selections. Plus what little beer they do have tastes bad compared to the same brew at other restaurants. Its sad really...

You probably got a terrible steak. The lodge filet is delicious, I don't like their ribeyes though. And steak will always taste bad if you get it well done. I like our steaks better than Texas Roadhouse.

But yes, its a family restaurant (talking animals, hint hint.) They're not going to have a huge beer selection. GET THE FUCKING MOOSE JUICE.

Well you would think that a family restaurant would have a vast array of alcohol for all of the alcoholic fathers who must have to go there with their children all the time Drinking
