Anyone check this movie out yet? I heard it was actually pretty good. Unfortunately since I never have time to go to movies anymore I will probably have to wait for the dvd. What do you all think?

Unfortunately, I have to say that I'd give this movie about 2 stars. The action and special effects were fantasic, so if you'd like to see a movie full of transformers kicking ass and humans running scared, then this is your ticket. Other than that, the plot left something to be desired, and the acting was sub-par. The kid protagonist was especially bad at what we've all come to know and love as "acting".

I wish I didn't agree. If you want to see a blockbuster this is a good one, but if you know anything about Transformers, what they were or how they were portrayed this movie could ruin your life.

The movie Transformers was a good popcorn flick, meaning the story and acting was alright, but the main feature were the special effects.

Seeing the transformers flinging each other through various enviornments was worth the $10 ticket.

Go into the movie with your brain turned off and your eyes wide open, you don't want to miss one explosion or transformation.

A huge reason this movie didn't fare really well with me was the little 'geek kid gets hot girl' storyline.

So overdone. And not needed in a movie like this.

But overall the action was spectacular.

For me being a new fan to this series I thought it was creative and overall well made and may look into seeing the second film in the making. I recommend it to any action movie fan. :)
