When I was a kid, Taken scared me, the scene in the woods when the aliens abduct the guy was pretty freaky.
I loved the new Dawn of the Dead remake, even though I don't agree with running zombies. Sure, maybe they can run right after they die/come back, but pretty soon they should wear out and slow down. Zombies still freak me out.
From everything I hear though, stay away from the Day of the Dead "remake", if you can even call it that.
There are too many movies for me to list, so I'll let you take care of it. What is the scariest movie you have ever seen?

Haven't wanted to watch it again since. (curls up in corner and cries thinking about nasty scary aliens) "...Our fear of death is what kills us."

I may be criticized for this but I don't care. Honestly, the first time I saw the Grudge was in the theatres and I'll admit...the movie was pretty scary.

I've been thinking of some more scary movies, I know that Fire in the Sky freaked me out the first time I saw it, when the guy got abducted in the woods, I had nightmares for days.

Another scary movie was the original 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre.' The movie is probably the most realistic scary movie of all time. The performances are all genuine and the story is simple while still maintaining a sense of not knowing what's going to happen next.
Definitely one of the scariest movies ever made.

Enough with Jennifer Lopez...terrifying stuff...you know women beats man hahaha. jk... Anyways I liked The Hills Have Eyes (remake) 1. It wasn't "scary" but it had one of the most emotional scenes in the history of horror movies I feel. When they first attack on the RV.

Yeah and when the dad burst into flames when he was tied to that tree...horrible. I couldn't imagine ever seeing that in real life.

That entire movie was one rare example of a really good remake.
My hat goes off to Alexandre Aja for a stupendous job direction and writing the film.

To add, another really scary movie was Jeepers Creepers. Just the beginning when the Creeper is slamming into Darry and his sister and blaring his horn; I think about that happening to me and it gives me the worst chills.
Ugh.

The film that really scared me when I was growing up it'd probably have to be, Maximum Overdrive by Stephen King that movie was scary but as I got older I enjoyed it a lot more. Has a killer soundtrack and overall plot too haha Gota love those big rig trucks! That goblin truck is awesome!

Although it's got a lot of sci-fi elements to it, Event Horizon is one of the scariest movie's I've ever seen. Something about an inanimate object traveling to Hell and coming back sentient and blood thirsty is pretty freaky to me, but no other movie has done it as good as Event Horizon, as far as I can tell. Sam Neil is positively creepy in that one. -- mike--^v^--> "You aren't the victim. You are the plague. I stand for freedom. Movies don't exactly scare me, but High Tension was a totally creepy movie with a great twist at the end. And although most people don't really consider it a horror movie, The Terminator is one of the most chilling concepts ever. When Reese is in the interrogation room screaming about how the Terminator is there to kill Sarah Connor, holy shit. "He doesn't feel pain or remorse or fear! He will find her and kill her. That's what he does! That's all he does!" Something like that. Amazing.
Texas Chainsaw is one of the best horror movies ever, hands down.

1- Shining. 2- The Blair Witch Project. I watched "Exorcist" when I was a kid and it scared the hell out of me then.
3- Jeepers Creepers was pretty damn tense too. 4- Strangers was very well made horror movie. Liv tyler's performance was memorable (kinda!)

While not incredibly scary, the movie The Unborn was WAAAAYY better than I would have expected (as I had expected it to suck, tremendously). I have to hand it to David S. Goyer, he made a damn good horror movie. -- mike--^v^--> "You aren't the victim. You are the plague. I stand for freedom. I'm not a slave." - Today Is The DayLast.fm profile = MancubusZero at Last.fm
